Sydney Mhlarhi

Sydney Mhlarhi is a Managing Director of Tamela Capital Partners. He leads the firm’s mezzanine investment activities across sectors and is a member of the firms’ investment committee, portfolio review committee and operating committee. Sydney founded Tamela Holdings in 2008. Prior to the founding of Tamela Holdings in 2008, Sydney was a founder and a Chief Investment Officer of Makalani Holdings Limited. At Makalani, Sydney managed a portfolio of R2.9 billion mezzanine investments in various sectors. Prior to founding Makalani in 2005, Sydney was the co-head of acquisition finance team at Standard Bank.
